Weston “Wammer” Mazey

On March 9th, 2021, Weston Mazey’s life changed. He was involved in a collision on a baseball field and suffered multiple skull fractures and a traumatic brain injury. He was rushed to the hospital where he spent a week in the Intensive Care Unit, was transferred to WVU Children’s Hospital, then airlifted to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia to begin the rehabilitation process.

During his rehabilitation process, a foundation called “Team Wammer” was set up to help other adolescents in the state of West Virginia who have also suffered brain injuries get to the proper facilities and receive the best medical care available.
